The Carolina Youth Symphony Orchestra The CYS Symphony Orchestra is our most advanced ensemble. It is comprised of approximately 85 outstanding players whose technical level is highly advanced and who show strong musicianship. The group performs a wide range of demanding orchestral repertoire, and is conducted by Music Director Dr. Leslie Hicken. The CYS Symphony Orchestra has performed at world class venues including Carnegie Hall! All CYS members begin their season preparing music at YMCA Camp Greenville, which takes place in August. During camp, members of CYS orchestras combine musical instruction, making new friends and enjoying Camp Greenville's beauty and activities. |
